our story

Andre and Jessie met in February of 2017 through a mutual friend. Some would say it was love at first sight, or maybe first Snapchat.  Despite the knowledge that Andre would be moving off for college in the coming months, their relationship grew stronger, and Andre finally popped the big question on May 25, 2017, "will you be my girlfriend?".  

They managed a distance relationship for the next 3 years, until Andre was able to move to Waco to live with Jessie and their fur-baby, Sophie. During their time there, Jessie finished her B.S. in Neuroscience, and Andre completed his A.A. in Paramedicine.  In 2022, Andre accepted his first "big-kid" job as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Bellaire Fire Department, and they bought their perfect first home, just outside of Houston.  Within 2 months their second fur-baby, Knox, joined them, completing their home. Andre supported and cheered Jessie on all of 2023 while she completed her BSN. 

Andre and Jessie booked a trip to Las Vegas for August 2023, to see Adele in concert and have a little get-away.  Little did Jessie know, Andre had bigger plans for the trip! Andre had planned for the two of them to go on a hike in Red Rock Canyon on August 16.  Ignoring all the obvious signs that morning, Jessie was absolutely shocked when she turned around and saw Andre on one knee with a ring in his hand (not a box, just a ring).  Andre planned the most perfect proposal, with the most beautiful scenery, and created Jessie's dream ring using the center stone from her mom's engagement ring. Don't ask either of them what romantic words Andre said while on one knee - they were both too shocked to remember a thing! 

Well, here we are now! We truly appreciate each and every person in our lives, and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for playing a role in our story. We can't wait to see you all on the day we've dreamed up!
